George and Joan, Thinking Out Loud about Going Back to School
In this edition of Thinking Out Loud, Joan starts the ball rolling by reflecting that she still views the start of the new school year as the start of her new year, with thoughts of what she wants to learn and what she wants to achieve. Both George and Joan have lots of ideas for what they want to learn themselves, and what they would like the library world to think about learning and exploring in this new school year.
One of the things that Joan wants to learn about this year is http://www.scvngr.com/. As she says, it’s gaming meets consumerism.
What are you looking forward to learning in this new school year?

Congrats! I just learned about that program last week!
I really am going back to (virtual) school! This week I started my second class in ALA’s Certified Public Library Administrator program. In the summer I took Technology Management; this fall it’s budgeting. So far my experience in the program has been excellent – I highly recommend it to others.
